Classic Cars Featured on Citytv's Breakfast Television Friday

Bowmanville, ON - June 28, 2001: Several cars participating in this weekend's Sunoco Ultra 94 Celebration of the Automobile Presented by Prestige Wheels will be featured on Breakfast Television Friday June 29^th.

Invited by Breakfast Television, seven cars and their owners will be setup in the Citytv parking lot during the 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM live broadcast. Interviews are planned with BT host Ann Rohmer. The line-up of cars is a sampling of the variety to be seen at the Sunoco Ultra 94 Celebration of the Automobile Presented by Prestige Wheels.

Featured tomorrow morning are: a 1928 Ford Model A, 1968 Mustang Shelby, 1969 Mercedes 280 SE Coupe, 1970 Chevelle SS 350, a '32 Ford Hot Rod (Replica style of the Johnny Miller car from American Graffiti), two racecars from Mosport Speedway (a father/daughter team) and a Kart from the Mosport Kart Club. All of which is part of the weekend's schedule.

Car enthusiasts will have their plate full this weekend at Mosport. There is Vintage Car racing on the 2.5-mile roadcourse, hosted by VARAC. The Show & Shine car display, which includes people's choice, awards. A multitude of cars and car clubs participating through 'cruise-in' to Mosport and parking for spectator viewing. Automobile and non-auto related vendors and exhibitors to visit. Entertainment and an early evening concert by 'Wild Blue Yonder'. Speedy Auto Service Saturday Night Stock Car racing. Mosport Kart Club races on Sunday on the 1/2 mile Kart Circuit. Registered, controlled lapping on the 1.5 mile Driver Development Circuit.

The Celebration of the Automobile June 29^th & July 1^st encompasses many activities to see. Come for the weekend or spend a day. Weekend tickets are $25.00 each, while day passes go for $15.00/day. A five-dollar discount coupon (redeemable at the gate) is available to download off the Sunoco website at www.sunoco.ca/mosport. Or drop by one of four locations on your way to Mosport. The locations are In Oshawa - 531 Ritson Rd. South, 1050 Simcoe St. North, and 925 Simcoe St. North. The fourth location is 310 Waverley Rd, Bowmanville at the 401 on your way up to Mosport. Also, in keeping with the Show & Shine theme all pre-80's vehicle arriving at Mosport will be entitled to an additional $5.00 off per person.
