Canada's
biggest motorcycle road racing event returns to
Mosport, July 17-19, when top motorcycle riders
from across the country make their only Toronto-area
stop in the Parts Canada Superbike Doubleheader
Weekend.
Mosport's 4 kilometre road course will host rounds
four and five of national Parts Canada Superbike
Championship. Among those to watch will be three-
time defending champion Jordan Szoke (Kawasaki)
of Brantford, Ontario, current points leader,
and Szoke's ex-teammate, Brett McCormick (Suzuki)
of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and last year's pole-sitter
at Mosport, Kevin Lacombe (Yamaha) of Granby,
Quebec. Six-time champion Steve Crevier (Buell)
of Maple Ridge, B.C., perennial title contender
Clint McBain (Suzuki) of Calgary, Alberta and
talented rookie Alex Welsh (Kawasaki) of Uxbridge,
Ontario will also be among the contenders at Mosport.

Canadian
recording artists Sloan and Crash Parallel will
headline the BMW Motorrad Summerfest as part of
the Parts Canada Superbike Doubleheader at Mosport,
July 17-19, Canada's biggest motorcycle road racing
event of the year.
The bands will take to the BMW Motorrad Concert
Stage on the Saturday of the manufacturer's three-day
motorcycle lifestyle experience, making its return
to Mosport for the third year. Designed to cater
to the motorcycle enthusiast, Summerfest features
the BMW Marketplace, on and off-road test rides
and an off-road skills course. New for 2009 is
the addition of BMW Motorrad Enduro rider Guy
Giroux, who will act as an instructor for the
off-road skills course.

Reunion Set For Parts Canada Superbike Doubleheader

The
first annual Motorcycle Road Racers Reunion
is set to run on Saturday, July 18 at
Mosport during the Parts Canada Superbike
Doubleheader.
|
The
first annual Motorcycle Road Racers Reunion will
be held in conjunction with the Parts Canada Superbike
Doubleheader Weekend at Mosport, July 17-19.
Scheduled for Saturday, July 18, the Reunion will
feature eleven prominent racers and one Legendary
Sidecar Racing Team from over the years as the
"Masters of Mosport", who will participate in
a parade lap and an autograph session during the
lunch break. A special commemorative poster featuring
the "Masters of Mosport" is being produced which
will include Lang Hindle, Rueben McMurter, Michel
Mercier, Dan Sorenson, Frank Mrazek, Clive Ng-A-Kien,
Gerry Marshall, Paul MacMillan, and the sidecar
pair of Greg Cox and Bill Davidson.
